This change in pressure between day and night will produce a "breathing" effect, during the day part of the air is "exhaled" out of the barrel, and the night air is "inhaled" into the barrel, if the barrel lid is immersed in water, then at night the moisture will inevitably enter the barrel with the air, accumulated over time, the water mixed in the oil is naturally considerable.
When taking oil, the oil drum should be placed on a wooden frame of appropriate height, and the oil should be placed with a faucet at the lid of the barrel surface, and a container should be placed under the faucet to prevent splashing. Or put the oil drum upright, insert the oil pipe from the barrel lid mouth, and take the oil through the hand pump.
Bulk oil stored in the tank will inevitably have condensed water and dirt incorporated, and eventually collect at the bottom of the tank to form a layer of silt-like substance, so that the lubricating oil is contaminated. Therefore, the tank bottom design should be nest butterfly or inclined, and install a discharge stopcock to discharge the residue on time. To the extent possible, the inside of the tank should be cleaned regularly.
The influence of temperature on the grease is greater than that on the lubricating oil, and long-term exposure to high temperature (such as: sun exposure) can separate the oil components in the grease, so the grease barrel should be stored in the warehouse preferentially, and the barrel mouth should be placed vertically. The mouth of the barrel containing the grease is larger, dirt and water are easier to see, and the lid should be closed immediately after use.
Too low or too high a temperature has a bad effect on the lubricating oil, so it is not advisable to store the lubricating oil in a place that is too cold or too hot for a long time.
